The Burning Chair Readings presents Kyle Schlesinger and James Yeary w/ C. Violet Eaton, Sara Nicholson, and Rodney Wilhite Thursday, January 29 at 7:00 PM at Backspace Unit H in the Trailside Village off the bike path between Center and Dickson Free (but donate to Backspace and/or buy books from the authors) Author Bios C. Violet Eaton is the author of Some Habits (forthcoming April 2015), which was selected by Forrest Gander for the 2013 Omnidawn Open Book Prize. He lives in West Fork, AR with his wife, the poet Sara Nicholson. He sells used & rare books. Sara Nicholson is the author of The Living Method (The Song Cave, 2014). Kyle Schlesinger’s recent books of poetry include Parts of Speech (Chax Press, 2014), The Do How w/ James Yeary (Great Fainting Spells, 2013), and Picture Day (Electio Editions, 2012). Scholarly works include LETterpress REVolution (Ugly Ducking Presse, 2016) Threads w/ Steve Clay (Granary Books, 2015), Poems & Pictures: A Renaissance in the Art of the Book (Center for Book Arts, 2010). He is proprietor of Cuneiform Press and Associate Professor of Publishing at UHV. Rodney Wilhite is a native of rural Northeastern Oklahoma. His poems have appeared in Pleiades, 14 Hills, The Idle Class, Cartographer, The Puritan, and Splash of Red. He teaches at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith and lives in Fayetteville with his wife and infant daughter. James Yeary is a poet living in Portland, Oregon. His writing includes a series of place-based collaborations with visual artist Nate Orton: the my day series (www.nateorton.com). He has released three books of collaborations with other poets: Rolling in the Easy Circumstances with Sam Lohmann, Who Killed My Chicken? with Chris Ashby, and The Do How, with Kyle Schlesinger, all of which were released by Great Fainting Spells.
